Back to the grind.
It was lovely, nearly three weeks off work, the return was inevitable and luckily fairly quiet for the first day. The pace has picked up since the Bank Holiday, but is not yet manic. Oh for a car with air-con though, my little motor heats up beautifully during the day so that by the afternoon I am like a damp cloth, I could be more graphic but I shall spare the more sensitive from the mental image that would conjure up. Everyone seems to be having Boys at the moment, including Derbydave and Gill, who had Ashley during the week.
The house continues to be revamped and is starting to look more like a home and less like a bomb-site. Completion can not come soon enough. I miss so many of my home comforts, my PC being one of the main ones. It's so frustrating, I only get to blog and read entries etc on a very intermittent basis and it's the same with my E-Mail, as a result of this I missed meeting Stroppy's tube crew, which I'm really cross about, and I keep missing out on things on E-Bay. Still havn't got a double buggy.
Popped over to see my girls and the grandchildren yesterday and on the side in the kitchen was a pregnancy testing kit. When I asked Jack's Mummy what it was for (obvious really) she replied that she hadn't used it. I delved no further. I expect I'll know soon enough, she's already been asking me about hiring a birthing pool for a homebirth.
At the moment there is a helicopter circling almost directly overhead, I can resist no longer, I'm going to have to go and investigate.

(3.9.05 15:15) mmmm, a third baby in the family maybe??? that would be fantastic! Glad to see you here! =) |
(3.9.05 21:24) If I remember correctly the approved method is to run out in the garden excitedly and point upwards and then fall over backwards as you continue to follow it as it flies overhead. Or is just penguins that do that? |
(4.9.05 11:50) Having investigated what did you discover ? |
(5.9.05 11:30) yes we want to know now.......... |
(5.9.05 19:55) Meeting us would have damaged your reputation and standing. The old boot were not to keen on having extra customers because they appear to think they are a restaurant raher than a pub. Oooops. The waiters serving our food refered to us as "the noisy ones". |

(7.9.05 11:17) Hi MM. How's things? Bit worried that we haven't heard anything since you went out to investigate the helicopter (cue music from Twilight Zone). |
(7.9.05 11:31) wAS THE KIT FOR YOU HAD YOU BEEN ABDUCTED BY ALIANS, And its pigs that fly |
(10.9.05 12:30) The helicopter was a police one, no they didn't pick me up, just continued to fly low for about 20 minutes and then buzzed off into the blue yonder! Stroppy - I'm sure it would have been me damaging your reputations. The Boot(aka The Spirit Group) regard me with loathing since I wrote an objection (successful) to an extension of their opening hours. |
